Our kindergarten offers a stimulating, educational environment that fosters growth and development amongst its students. It is a place where children can feel safe and secure, surrounded by caring, qualified staff members. We strive to create a warm, familial atmosphere that allows every child’s individuality to develop and flourish.

Organisation

YOUNG STAR is open from the beginning of August to the end of June with four weeks of vacation in July. All official holidays and traditional vacations in Finland are also observed at Young Star.

YOUNG STAR is open from 7:30 to 17:00, from Monday to Friday.We can also organize day care services for before or after the kindergarten's working hours, but only by special request and with additional charges.

Insurance

Accident insurance is provided for all children during their stay in the kindergarten.

Food

A breakfast, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided every day.

Education

The educational process is well balanced between free play and structured activities. All the teachers and nurses work on developing both the social and academic skills of the children. Daily activities are organized in different groups. We are careful and tolerant with each new child that joins one of our already formed groups. All of the children who are able to communicate in English are eager to help the new ones.

English preschool program

When children are 6 years of age, they join the English preschool program. This preschool program starts in the middle of August, and ends in May. There is no extra fee for the program.
